Pointe North and Pointe East, two new subdivisions located in Northeast Tallahassee, bear a heritage rich in history.
The 800 plus acres of rolling land are part of the original Horseshoe Plantation located between Centerville and Thomasville Roads, south of Proctor Road.
In the 1900’s Horseshoe Plantation was the site of “fabulous hunting” and many a hunting wagon crossed its gently rolling hills, dense with hickories and oaks, in pursuit of waterfowl and quail and other wildlife during the season.
The original plantation home was host to many noted guests, among them the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
